What would it be like live free of the concept of time and
space? There is an exercise which when repeated regularly may offer an
opportunity to see beyond the limits prescribed by time and space. As we
regularly practice the 4 following suggestions we may find an increasing sense
of timelessness.
First, let us imagine we no longer need any sleep and can
live from day to day without any change in consciousness. Time will pass but we
will not make any adjustments for it.
Let us further imagine that the day is no longer divided by
light and darkness and it is light continuously. Here we arrive at a point of
one uninterrupted day lasting our entire lifetime.
Further let us imagine we can recall past events not as they
were but exactly how they would appear to us in our current awareness, with our
current values and understanding. Now we have stopped the march of time and in
this long day neither past nor present are separated by artificial means.
Finally let us imagine how events currently taking place
will unfold in the future. Not how we would like them to appear but how they may logically progress. Now we have a
reality with time not passing us by, not moving on, where we are experiencing
past, present and future as a continuous uninterrupted now.
The more we perform this exercise the easier it will be to
understand life lived outside of the confines of time and space and offer us a
sense of our own immortality.
